The Cast

If I don't write to empty my mind, I go mad. ~Lord Byron

Wow. Reading over this cast list, it occurs to me how much things have changed in just a few short months. so here it is, the newly updated list of those who play a crucial role in my life. And yes. I do use aliases....

The Sexy Six Ok, the Sexy Six is my group of friends, and we all kind of had separate friendships that came together at the end of Junior year. And Sexy Six? Just a joke. We do not really that conceited. Honest.

Kendra: My best friend for 3 years. She can make me laugh, no matter what type of mood I'm in, she listens to me bitch and helps me analyze my problems, and is just a freaking awesome person. She's always been there for me, no matter what, and has this unending patience with me, especially when it comes to explaining calculus.

Willow: Someone I was good friends with since freshman year, but just became really REALLY close with her this past year. Will is one of the sweetest, most gentle, special people I know. She never has a mean word to say about anyone,(well, heh, that's not ENTIRELY true) and if you need comforting, she's right there. Oh, and she's got this "sweet/innocent/naive yet incredibley sexy" thing going on that makes the boys go insane.

Buffy: Named for her blonde hair and our shared obsession with Buffy. Willow is part of this group too. The three of us can talk about Buffy for hours. And yes, we did adopt these names for ourseles one day. (I'm Faith) Anyway, Buffy and I were pretty good friends before we all merged into a clique. We were in a lot of the same classes Junior year, and she is unbelievably sweet and funny. We have so much fun together, whether it's knocking stacks of the teacher's papers off the stage, or doing dramatic interpretations of Linkin Park songs. And when we get together, my true blondeness comes out. I may have brown hair, but Buffy has shown me the way of the Blonde.

Harmony: We suffered through Freshman gym class together, and she was my running partner on the track. Thank God for her, hehe. I chose the name Harmony for her, because as much as I love her, she's just a little slow sometimes, physically and mentally. I mean, she takes forever to let's say, change after gym, and she usually gets the jokes just after we've all finished laughing. I have no idea how someone can be this slow, or be late as many times as she, but I love her SO MUCH. And some of the things that come out of her mouth are so fucking funny. She doesn't even realize what she's saying half the time. But I'm just starting to really realize what an amazingly strong and awesome peson she is.

Darla Finally, the last member of the group. She's really awesome, because she has this spunk about her that few people can pull off. She doesn't take crap from anyone, and says it like it is, no matter what. I really resect that about her. Plus she's just really funny. Plus, she's really great in time of a crisis...she's knows exactly what to do to keep everyone as calm as possible.

If I ever refer to my group as a whole, meaning me, Harmony, Buffy, Willow, Kendra and Darla, it will simply be the Sexy Six or the S6. Do not confuse them with the SS, my Snert Slayers.

Alex: She's not really a part of my core group, but she's still one of my good friends. Heh, we always joke because on the basketball court, people can't tell us apart. In fact, one ref even called a foul on her when I was the one who committed it. Anyway. We sometimes share a mind, it's so scary. We always moan about how no one ever understands the two of us, and if they did, they'd be very frightened. No one else understands why we hang out in the math office so much, or have this burning need to switch math teachers. Or why we cross certain streets over and over again. Or our craving for Cheesey Ritz before games. Alex's also practically the best basketball player I've ever seen, and one of the smartest, sweetest people I know. Between her academic and athletic scholarships she'll receive from basically her college of choice (probably Harvard), she'll have enough money left over to send me to college, hehe. The only thing that gets me is that she has the lowest self-confidence, and it makes me crazy to hear her constantly putting herself down

Gunn: Also called Captain America because of his intensely arrogant, self-righteous attitutde. But he's my best guy friend, hands down. And one of my best friends. He is the one person in the world who is able to piss me off as much as he does, and our relationship tends to exist in a love/hate cycle. We've been in a love cycle for a while now, so yey us. But he's like my brother, and I know he's there for me if I really need him. We hooked up the summer after sophomore year, and then just never really talked about it openly until a year later. We haven't spoken much since high school graduation, but he was a major part of my life in high school.

EBStCP: Evil Bastard Sent to Cause Pain. A jerk. Plain and simple. And also a very long story that I may or may not discuss, depending on my mood. Long story short, fell in love with him, (although I'm wondering at this point if it was love or not) rollercoaster friendship, ended up getting my heart torn out and stomped on. Bastard. So yes, unless the universe decides to suddenly change the natural order of things, most references to him will not be full of bunnies and kittens. Wanna know all the juicy details of our saga?

The Group

Blackberry: An ex-boyfriend of a relationship that neither of us was ready for about 4 years ago. We became friends afterward, but stopped talking at the end of my freshman year due to some stupid argument. December of 2001 I IMed him, and we became very close again. Soon after that we started talking quite often and are now best friends. He introduced me to his group of friends that have become so close to my heart it's amazing.

Ian: Someone I can't imagine my life without now. He's absolutely an amazing friend, and someone I have quite simply fallen in love with.

Chris: Another person I have grown to love and trust completely. He's always been there for me, no matter what, and I'm not sure he knows how much that means to me.

Laura: I think Laura and I got closer since I went to college and I'm happy about that because she's such a great person. In a group of Jewish guys, it's nice to have that one Catholic girl to team up with.

Tricia: Another member, she's been the girl I turned to when I couldn't talk to anyone else about certain things, like how I felt about Ian.

Lyle: One of the strongest people I have ever met. No matter how much shit life throws at him, he just doesn't surrender or complain. Good man.

Alex/Alicia: A couple within the group and I don't know them AS WELL as everyone else, but they're cool to hang with.

Yoshi: Named for his severe attatchment to his puppy, Yoshi. A guy one year older than I whom I've known for several years, but only really got to know the summer after Junior year. He's boarderline genius, if not completely, and was the valedictorian of my school and at Yale as well. (My dad thinks it's really weird that two of my guy friends are in Yale. And oddly enough, Blackberry and Yoshi know each other, having gone to the same school 1-8th grade. They had a really weird relationship. It's kinda funny to hear about though). We went to the same middle school, along with Blackberry, but I didn't know him too well then. We ended up at the same high school, and due to some very ironic and unexpected twist of fate, we also had a short but nice fling Summer of 2002. He's such an awesome guy.

If you see a name you don't recognize, especially in the Spring of 2002, chances are they're a Trackie. Most were seniors and graduated in '02. I'm going to miss them so much, and the school certainly won't be the same without them. We've been through a lot of grueling practices and meets together, and they've held me back a lot of times when I wanted to kill my coach. I was like, their little Junior, who they take care of. Let's see, my seniors include, Jeff(I'm going to miss him most of all - I went to the Senior prom because of him when I was a Junior! hehe.), Erica, Mandy, John, Speed E., LT, Dan, Tori, and Jesse.

Terps
My college friends are divided into two groups: Penthouse South (my floor, called so because we are the top floor on the South side of the building) and everyone else, Terps. Without a doubt the Penthouse Crew is my family. They've helped me more times this semester and we really help each other out. Lisa and Luke are really close to me in NY, then there's my roomate, Rafia who is a very religious Muslim girl, India, roommate's Michelle and Kikki, Emma, Tuan and Anthony. They're all awesome.

Coaches:

Drill Sergeant Volleyball (DSV) - Varsity Vball, my current and best coach I ever had. She will work you mercilessly, with little praise, but she'll make you the best volleyball player you can be. She took me for the team Junior year, mainly because she needed my height, and my atheletic ability allowed me to learn quickly. She took the time to teach me and drill me and train me properly until I had the techniques down flat. I couldn't be the player I am today without her.

Evil Coach (EC) - Varsity basketball. A complete and utter asshole. Worst coach ever. Every single player he ever coached hates him. See why in the link a few paragraphs ago. Complete opposite of DSV. I don't think he'd know what a basketball is if one hit him on the head.

Track Daddy - My track coach, and a father figure to me. I joke around and talk back to him with an attitude that I reserve for him and my real father alone. Also a great coach, who taught me how to use my body to get maximum power out of it while running. He's also helped me out on a few personal problems, because he's such a great guy to talk to.

Terry - Another volleyball coach. He coaches my Church league, and runs an adult clinic that I crash every week. It's just 20 adults or so, and a few other girls from the team who come to scrimmage and have fun playing. But Terry is the most volleyball obsessed person I know. He plays it literally everyday, all year. Really good guy though. I like him a lot.

Ms. Fig - An affectionate nickname I have for her. Her baby is "the Figlet." JV basketball and volleyball. Ok coach, certainly not one of the best. And if she doesn't like you, she could be a bitch. Thankfully, she likes me so I'm happy. I'm always in her office talking to her about anything and everything.

I also post on a Buffy the Vampire Slayer Message Board, where I have found a second family. The posters there are beyond awesome, and I love some of them more than my Real Life friends sometimes. We're just one big dysfunctional family, but without them, I'm not sure if I would still be here today. A few of them also have their own diaries, which you can find on my profile page. We're the Snert Slayers and other people's opinions of us vary from "a tight circle of friends" to "too cliquish" to "a cult." I have to say, I think all are correct. Heh. We're an eccentric-evil-sex-crazed-Cruel-Intentions-obsessed-trouble-making-group whom I love. Since I'll be making references to them, I suppose I should include those worth mentioning. Let's see, there's Bunny, whom I've already talked about, RyAn, Ryan, D, Ellie, Stephanie, Steph, (also known as MomSteph) Nate, Bing, Meltha (Melly), Joey, Aura, Melissa, Robert, Meko, Katie, Kate, Storm, Ally, Michelle, Numina, Aidenn, Fenix, Karen and Dan. Another one of my favorites used to be Joe, but sadly, he has left us. So yes. That's my Slayer Crew. And my RL (real life) friends think I'm insane for becoming so attached to people I've met over the internet, but oh well.

So yes. This is my life, and those are the people who affect my life. Without my friends, I don't know what I would do. I love them all.

last - next - clix me
